Château Lascombes ist ein komplexer Wein, der Kraft und Eleganz, Cremigkeit und Tanninreichtum vereint. Am Gaumen vereint er Finesse und Weichheit mit einer sehr edlen Tanninstruktur. Der hohe Anteil an Merlot in seiner Assemblage macht ihn auch in jungen Jahren schon genießenswert. Im Laufe der Jahre sollte man Château Lascombes aber immer wieder neu entdecken, um seine aromatische Komplexität voll zu würdigen und zu sehen, wie sich seine Struktur entwickelt und dabei immer geschmeidiger wird.
This vintage of Lascombes shows more restraint on oak than previous vintages. The result is a ripe wine, still showing some wood flavors although it is already beginning to balance these with the black fruits. It has an opulent style that is warm and generous. Wine Advocate
An intriguing blend of 48% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, this inky purple-colored wine is ripe, progressively styled, big, rich, thick and juicy. In other words, the 2012 Lascombes is loaded. No doubt the high percentage of Merlot in the final blend gives this wine a fleshiness and succulence that is unusual in the Médoc. Rich, pure and full, it should hit its prime in another 4-5 years and last at least two or three decades. Robert Parker
